THE cake.
We enjoyed the wine tasting last night. Good company, and James brought some enjoyable wines.
Food was ......average.
Taxi terrible. Mr C and I were squashed into two small seats at the back. Glad no one could see me getting out as it was anything but a dainty exit.
We had a lie in this morning.
The fog has been replaced by none stop rain.
After lunch Mr C went bowling and I spent the afternoon in a nice warm kitchen making my Christmas cakes.
Haven’t stepped outside so decided to do a collage of the making of the cakes.
The large one for Christmas, but the smaller one is a taster which we will try this weekend.
The recipe is another from my Readers Digest Cookery Year Book.1976..
The large cake tin is the top half of a Dutch Oven. One of three Miracle Maid non stick pans which I bought back in the early 70s. They were sold by party planning, similar to Tupperware. I wonder if anyone else can remember going to one of these parties?
