Barbarians v All Blacks

You really wouldn’t normally expect to see any of us in this stadium - but the treachery was ok because we were supporting the Barbarians and they won well.

Church was chaotic to the point of bubbling over stress so I hoped the afternoon would be relaxed - and it was - but we (I) made the stupid mistake of taking a small rucksack. I had next to nothing in it. When we arrived, we were told my bag had to go to ‘Bag drop’ and on seeing the thousands in the queue, we emptied my bag into our pockets and rolled it up and put it into a big coat pocket. So we went through some security and then got stopped and told that the empty bag needed to go to ‘Bag drop’. Hmmm.

We had no choice really so I offered to queue whilst the others went in. It was my bag after all, although I only had biscuits in it for them. ‘Bag drop’ took an hour and I missed the first half. :-( AND had to pay £10 for the privilege of using the ‘Bag drop’ service. Crackers. Bonkers. Lesson learnt.

At least we won!!
