Inspired by an illustration

This book, printed in 1922, was being thrown out but I asked if I could keep it for the charming illustrations by F. Cayley-Robinson.

The book is called ‘A Book of Quaker Saints’.
This poor girl, at the age of twelve, had to stay in prison with her grandfather as a companion. The year was 1620 but I still find it difficult to believe that she did it willingly.
