Choppy

11.0C with a grey dry morning and a wet afternoon. Breezy.

The weather forecast said it would rain later in the day so I went out and mowed the back lawns before lunch. I did a little strimming too. I have a grass path between my two bigger veg beds and it is easier to strim it. Maeve the Deerhound didn't show as much as a nose out of the back door.

After lunch Maeve and I went for our walk. It was distinctly colder and breezier as we walked down the field with the bridle path towards the shore. There were no people or dogs on the beach. The tide was right in with the rocks completely covered. 'Valhalla VI' and 'Shamara II' were both moored in the channel. Both were bobbing quite actively in the choppy waves. Maeve didn't want to go paddling today. I can't say I was surprised :-)

We got home without any sign of rain, but it has started since.
