Saturday: Taco Stand

We had lunch at a new (to us) taco stand today.  They were absolutely delicious.  And this evening we were invited to the house of someone I met through work.  He lives about half an hour outside of Belmopan, in Unitedville, and we had been asked over for sundowners.  

There was one other couple there I knew and everyone else was new to us. 
The property was absolutely amazing, a beautiful deck, complete with hot tub and infinity pool overlooking a lush green valley.  It was quite breathtaking.  And everyone was really nice - we had a good time.

Not even the fact that I’d forgotten to put on mosquito repellent, and am now paying the price for it, distracted me.  I would have liked to take a photo but it seemed a bit cheeky……..so instead you have the taco stand.

I mentioned a few weeks ago that we’re not actually meant to drive on the highway after dark.  I had a chat with my colleague as going to this meant precisely that as we came home in the dark.  It’s not the roads so much, just the other drivers, and the later it gets the more drink driving is an issue.  Anyway, we decided that, on balance, it would be ok.  We didn’t want to miss the opportunity as it’s nice to be invited but the host is also an important work contact.

Needless to say, it was absolutely fine.  I was designated driver and the trip couldn’t have been smoother.
