Flame tree

This year the rowan has shed quite a few more  leaves than usual  before taking on its Autumn colours, so to make a lot out of a little, I've used three shots.  The first, also the thumbnail, is taken through glass some 40 feet away.  The others were taken in the garden while I was doing the rounds refilling the bird feeders.
This evening we watched The Festival of Remembrance which takes place at the Royal Albert Hall.This evening was especially poignant as there were many  references to Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.  How strange it seemed to sing 'God Save the King'!
