Autumn sunshine
Back blip 2
After breakfast at the B&B we set off for Northallerton, to view two houses. The first had a fabulous 'family room' - a huge kitchen/diner with a woodburner, large enough for a sofa and chairs too. The second was nearer the centre of the town, just behind this church (All Saints' Parish Church). Neither house is THE one, but until we have a realistic offer on the flat there's no particular hurry.
Even so, after we'd had a picnic lunch in the van we drove over to Richmond to view a third house. We both like it and the terraced garden, but it has one drawback - it's at the top of a very steep hill. Hmmm! A few years ago we wouldn't even have thought about its location, but we're not getting any younger!
After the viewing we walked back in to the town and down to the falls (extra). By then it was getting dark, but still a bit too early to eat so, after a quick wander round the square, we popped in to a local hostelry for a drink. Then a nice meal with a free glass of wine each (the Monday offer) before making our way back to the B&B.
