Costa del Cotswolds

Any lingering doubts that our weather has completely broken down were confirmed today. We walked almost 5 miles from the house and were in danger of overheating as the sun shone and the temperatures of over 17c felt more May than November!

The punters processing to day two of the November Races could not believe their luck. Two pubs in our village were brim full with pre race breakfasters! Since when has a full English been washed down with pints of Gloucestershire ale?! It reminded me of that 1970’s advertising slogan about “only being here for the beer”! (Double Diamond was the beer in case you were wondering!).

After lunch we tidied up the leaves and mowed the lawn - again. No sign of the growing season ending yet!

My blip is a panoramic view of the Cotswold escarpment de-marking the western boundary of the Golden Valley and Vale of Evesham. The G&WR heritage line is just visible to the left of our shadows.
