Racing Time

60000 punters descend on Cheltenham for the big November race meeting beginning today. The weather has made it a very civilised return after 20 months of pandemic restrictions. The planning of the event, including the traffic management seems highly organised. Unfortunately, no one told the broadband fibre road workers. Their 4 way traffic lights at a key roundabout ensured gridlock!

We enjoyed a second day of rest from the unpacking. The respite was most welcome.

The COP26 climate conference in Glasgow is overrunning tonight. All our futures depend on common sense and consensus prevailing on the banks of The River Clyde.
