White-rumped Sandpiper
About ten days ago, in driving rain and gale like winds, a small wader with a white rump flashed past me at Stinky Bay to be lost to the elements. At the time I thought it was one of two species but couldn't be definite about either.
Yesterday it was refound and so I paid it a visit, still at the smae spot as before.
Not going to set the owrld on fire but it was a pretty little thing and it had flown across the Atlantic to visit Uist and so deserves some respect.
