South Uist

As so often in the UK, part of the reason this view is so unspoilt is that it is part of the MOD property - or more precisely the rocket range here. 
The flooded area here is normally part of the machair and in summer will be used for growing crops. At this time of year it makes good wader habitat.
Not that I saw any today....
