Abstract Thursday - Shape

No guessing needed for the shape of the old stone wheel sitting outside The Watermill Bookshop and Café in Aberfeldy.

Gill and I spent ages browsing in the wonderful bookshop before having the best coffee of our trip in the café. We were still full from breakfast, so managed to resist the pumpkin spice and pecan scones.

A walk down to the banks of the fast-flowing River Tay gave me a blipportunity - see extra - but this time we were disappointed by the lack of autumn colours, even though there was a brief flash of sunshine on the trees.

The village of Kenmore at the head of Loch Tay seemed to be closed for lunch - hotel undergoing complete refurbishment - but we were directed by a helpful local to the Highland Safari and Red Deer Centre near the village of Dull and enjoyed lovely curried parsnip soup and cheese-and-herb scones there.

We also bought a couple of empire biscuits there to have with our cuppa back at the hotel in Aberfeldy.

Food-obsessed?! Us?! Whatever makes you think that?!
