Diwedd cyfnod ~ The end of an era
“I believe in singing. I believe in singing together. [singing can bring] a good figure, a stable temperament, increased intelligence, new friends, super self-confidence, heightened sexual attractiveness and a better sense of humour. [It offers the ability to] use your lungs in a way that you probably don’t for the rest of your day, breathing deeply and openly.”
—Brian Eno

Yn anffodus mae cyfnod yr hen Singer wedi dod i ben. Roeddwn i'n trio gwnïo gyda fe heddiw ac roeddwn i wedi cael llawer o drafferth. Treuliais i'r rhan fwyaf o'r amser yn delio gydag un broblem neu un arall. Nid yw'n werth chweil - mae'n cymryd gormod o amser.
Yn lle, roedd rhaid i mi ‘raddio’ i'r peiriant trydan (ar osodiad araf) ac aeth pethau ychydig yn gyflymach.
Felly, ffarwel i'r hen Singer Model 99k, Rhif Cyfresol EN190255, yr hwn a wnaed yn Kilbowie, yn yr Alban yn 1958 (neu o gwmpas). Rydyn ni'n mynd i wneud yn siŵr ei fod yn gweithio cystal â phosib ac yn ffeindio i gartref da iddo.

Unfortunately the era of the old Singer has come to an end. I was trying to sew with it today and I had a lot of trouble. I spent most of the time dealing with one problem or another. It's not worth it - it takes too much time.
Instead, I had to 'graduate' to the electric machine (on a slow setting) and things went a little faster.
So, farewell to the old Singer Model 99k, Serial Number EN190255, which was made in Kilbowie, Scotland in 1958 (or thereabouts). We are going to make sure it works as well as possible and find it a good home.
