Birthday Bike

The Boy's birthday bike arrived today. Apparently some assembly was required. It actually went very smoothly -- very different than the images we see of the harried father putting together a bike late on Christmas Eve.

I wish I could show you the picture of The Boy's face when Mr. Odd Days suggested they not bother reading the directions while assembling. It was pure shock and horror. Ah, made this blipper's heart happy. Someone actually wants to read a user's manual. (Once upon a time I had a job that included writing user manuals for custom UNIX software.) The Boy reads all user manuals and directions from cover to cover. Perhaps overkill or perhaps he now knows more about our cars and appliances than we do.
