The Moon's A Balloon

David Niven I think, I read it and enjoyed it a long time ago.
I had a busy day today, the painters were here first thing of course, we've had rain off and on through most of the day although it's drier this evening. They're making good progress but I think they'll need to be here for a couple of days next week still.
I made a chicken casserole after lunch to share with Ali and Stuart then Colin ran me into town for my appointment at the dental clinic. I came away feeling much more positive about the idea of implants. Why do teeth have to be the thing to go, it seems most unfair and expensive.
I spotted the moon above the gap in the buildings of Rose Street and was rather pleased with the shot. It was only my phone camera, but better than my usual attempts. I've put another shot from just a little earlier in the afternoon as an extra. It's of the fiery sky behind the castle as the sun was going down. I couldn't decide which to use as my blip, but the moon won.
We watched the quizzes this evening. I just couldn't tune into the final round of OC tonight, it's usually my great success story, but not tonight. I didn't find the UC teams particularly prepossessing tonight either. Must be my mood.
My wee sister and I have booked a wee jaunt next week. She had to abandon her trip to Mallaig in the autumn because of the rail strikes, so, perhaps rather foolhardily we've decided to have another go. Two go wild in the Highlands! We'll be quite sedate actually as she's just had a foot op so there'll be no off road adventuring this time.
