Waiting Patiently….

… to find some sunflower seeds like his friends in extra photos. The farmers near us are planting more and more sunflowers but the seed they are harvesting must be much diminished this year. Every time I pass this particular field where half of the sunflowers are seeding, a flock of birds flies up. This morning I parked the car and waited till they came back hoping to see a brambling again. No luck, but there was an abundance of these pretty goldfinches. A car makes a terrific hide!
