You can count on me like 1, 2, 3

Ah summertime. If only for one day. Thankfully my foot is so much better than yesterday. With the help of lots of painkillers and making use if it as much as possible, I've no need for crutches and actually managed to do a lot. I should be fine to return to work tomorrow. It doesn't feel like eight months since I left!
Early start this morning with baths and hair washes for the girls as hadn't time last night after the hospital trip. It was school photo day and group photos had to be done by 8:30am. Got there in time somehow!
Whilst Arwen slept, I made sure the lawn got cut and laundry was caught up with and dried outside.
After school we made the most of the glorious weather with a trip to The Gift Shop for ice cream, then on to the park and finally an impromptu play date back at our house, which was 'gate crashed' by several other neighbourhood kids. It's like an open house and garden around here. The kids just wander between three or four houses like it's their own. Must be great for them to have so much play time together. I grew up on a farm so rarely saw my friends outside of school.
Here's Gracie giving Arwen a big cuddle. I hope my girls will always be close to each other.
