Power

The rainstorm yesterday also brought some wind. And, once again, the wind did it's business with trees causing hundreds of power outages all over the Lower Mainland. Ours cut out about 8pm.
I got up at 5.15am, (yes, I know, I'm an early riser), and the power was still out so I lit a few candles rather than sit totally in the dark.
My phone hadn't charged overnight and the battery was almost done, I couldn't make coffee, that didn't sit well with me at all. Twiddling my thumbs became an Olympic sport.
Luckily, and with a great sigh of relief, power was restored just before 6am.

Up and out before 7.30 to get an oil change before any line ups started. (Many other people obviously think like me) and home to watch some football from both sides of the pond.
The boss and the lad started to get Xmas decorations out, "not for me" I cried, "it's November the efn 5th!"
As always, they didn't pay a bit of bloody notice to me and discussed in detail what was going to happen this year, That signalled it was time for a nap.
Frozen pizza, doctored up with more meat and cheese to make it somewhat acceptable, was the easy dinner.

Ah well...
