Wet wet wet

No, I'm not refering to the boy band, just the weather.
While it never got torrential, the drops were big and heavy enough to soak you in an instant. Driving on the freeway was interesting to say the least.
The last time I looked at the forecast for today, an expected high of 11 or 12 seemed quite acceptable. 
It would have been, it barely got to half of that.
The rain eased off a bit when I got home so I went out to take a picture of the clouds almost at knee height. Believe it or not, there are mountains behind those clouds although you'd hardly know it.
I made 12 oat and chocolate chip muffins, (out of a packet). Those and wings, (or wings and muffins if you want to be chronologically correct,) were, er, how can I put this,  devoured!
