Down the road
A long tiring day where we drove down to Edinburgh and back, and for four hours straight in the middle of that, helped our 23 year old daughter move all her stuff from her old flat to a new one. (She needs to move to be able to afford to keep renting in Edinburgh).
So many heavy boxes and bags (and a couple of budgies), plus several steep flights of stairs at each flat made it quite a task. It took two car loads (see extra for view of the first load).
We didn't get home again till well after 10pm, but we had to do it all in one day as my husband had work the following day.
It was really good to see our daughter and help her with the stressful move, but we've decided that if there was a next time, rather than go through all that again, if we can afford it we'll pay for her to get someone else to do it!
