Dolls’ Hospital

T, as a young girl, made a chest of drawers for her doll’s house using 6 of these iconic matchboxes. If sold today, apparently, they’d fetch £90! T had been repairing the dolls and their matchbox furniture on this rainy Bonfire Night.

As I write the fireworks have begun. A terrifying sound for pets and local refugees who have fled wars including the most recent one raging in Europe.

Earlier we went cycling with our grandsons.
