Bins and a Cherry Picker
It was about this point in my blip taking of the cherry picker aloft in Forrest Road this morning that I found I had left my bus pass in the house and I would therefore have to walk into town despite the weather, my lethargy and my somewhat complaining ankle….. and walk home …..or pay.
Please note that at this hour 9am there is no traffic jam here yet. That will occur shortly and then it will be quicker to walk into town than take the bus.
It’s another bleak autumn day, but there’s no wind and it’s not too cold. The fallen leaves lie wet and sullen on the pavement and paths denying me my ability to walk through them with that satisfying scrunching sound.
However, I am going to have to go out and inspect the Marches before I take root in this chair with my book. The inclination to stay put is almost overwhelming.
The sun has just appeared in time -3pm- for the Guy Fawkes bonfires
