Bob and Muriel

A lovely old photo of a couple of friends who influenced my cycling.
Bob won national championships in Britain, tackled long-distance records, was the best-placed British rider in the 1948 Olympic road race, and rode for Britain in the Tour de France. Muriel was a wonderful person who was always helping out, unfortunately she suffered badly from tinnitus but had a wonderful personality. RIP both.
