Cosmos

We slept in until the kitties forced us up. Hubby had to gather all supplies needed to winterize the camper. I cooked bacon; a rarity but I was hungry for a sandwich. It was a gorgeous autumn day. As hubby headed to my mother’s, I got a shot of these cosmos. The petals are so delicate. Since I was outside, I decided to get rid of the spent black eyed Susan’s. Nine thousands steps later…. I had cleaned the front flower garden, one by the driveway and pruned three butterfly bushes. The bird feeders are filled and the walks are swept. Things sure look better outside. Hubby hopes to weed whack the liriope tomorrow, now that he can see them. After showering, I covered my knees in lidocaine and went to the recliner. Hubby visited with my mother, shared some fish fillets for dinner when my nephew arrives from Colorado and some Havarti cheese, her favorite. Then he picked up meds and some Sauvignon Blanc the way home. Dinner will be more leftovers so the evening is ours. Wishing you a restful evening. Thanks for the visit. Stay safe and healthy.
“Looking at my little garden.. just a while ago..
I saw a flower blooming and I love it so.
Its tissue petals blowing in the breeze that is so light..
The ferny leaves all moving and buds so very tight.
Cosmos is its name and pink my favorite one..
A pretty garden treasure in the morning sun.” - Balisha
