Oslo opera house

Here at the head of the Oslofjord is an architectural representation of a difference between the English government and that of Norway.

It is not the opera house itself, which is indeed beautiful. I can’t think of any off the top off my head but I’m sure they’re equally striking buildings somewhere in England.

And it’s no the fact that you can simply walk all over the building - literally all over - because maybe there are similar structures in England.

The difference that struck me is that apart from a sign making it clear that cycling and skateboarding are not permitted, there are no fences or warnings of any sorted. One is simply trusted to behave like a rational human being.

Although on the topic of rational behaviour, from the roof of the opera house, we saw people coming out of floating saunas and climbing down into the fjord. Crazy.
