Day 125 of 365 - St Michael's Stoke!

Welcome to day 125 of 365 (Finished image after Editing)

The original photo was taken this afternoon. It is of the Church of St Michael in the Stoke area of Coventry. The origin of a Church on this site dates back to about the year 1100. Not long after, during the reign of King Stephen the Church was given to the Priory of St Mary, however nothing remains of the original Church. The oldest part of the church that stands today is the Tower dating back to the 14th century. There have been a few additions made during the 19th and 20th Centuries that were in keeping with the original Medieval style of the Church.

The Church is is a Grade II* Listed building and is number 7 on my list of 24 (Grade II*) Listed buildings in Coventry that I hope to photograph.

As always the shot was taken with my iPhone 5. The photo was taken using the camera App PureShot for iPhone. The original image can be found here: Unedited original Image.

First of all I used PhotoToaster to edit the image. The edits were made by applying the Super Sepia filter and sharpening the image a little. Finally I used Distressed FX to add extra texture to the image using the Stirred overlay and the Lade Texture.
