Poplar reflections

Alex's 29th birthday - and we spent most of it working at Bainton Pits in glorious sunshine, the clear blue skies contrasting perfectly with the golden-leaved poplars that were planted as screening to this brownfield site. The pond was looking particularly stunning as the windless conditions allowed perfect reflections.

In the evening four of us sat down for a birthday meal of Lamb slow-cooked with Quince - very delicious. Chris and Lizzy had joined us the previous evening as part of a pre-birthday celebration - Ben and Sarah are in Cyprus celebrating her recent 30th birthday!
