A cabin in the woods

We survived the night although again I slept terribly, I think it’s all the moving but in this case it was also because I was quite cold.  I spent a lot of the night reading, listening to podcasts and to audible (Young Mungo, very dark indeed)  and doing some emails , none of it very enjoyably.   We finally got going at about 8 and had a peaceful breakfast at the Roadhouse although I felt pretty ropey.

We went back up to Nepenthe to see if I could find some warmer trousers but no luck although we bought a shirt and a jumper. We then walked down to Pfeifer beach and had lunch back on our porch waiting for Hannah and Alexander to arrive.  They had some issues and arrived much later than planned. The afternoon passed pleasantly although sitting there was punctuated by acorns falling and hitting the roof with a sharp crack.  We went inside when the sun set and I slept briefly by the fire.

In the evening we went back to Nepenthe with A&H, quite late - the restaurant shut at 9 and we were the last in.

Back to their cabin after dinner for herb tea and ‘smore’. toasted marshmallows squished between chocolate and Graham crackers which was delicious!
