Hallowe'en niblings

We met Paddy and Caitlin (blipped) for the Holyrood Parkrun this morning. It was their 100th Parkrun, and they came along with a group of friends from Portobello all dressed up for Hallowe'en. Their party included a ghost, who complained after the race about people who got in his way on the course. Mr hazelh asked why he didn't just pass through them...

We rushed home after Parkrun for showers and breakfast, then set off for our second appointment of the day. We drove over to Liz and Tony's house in North Berwick for lunch with them, plus Petrina, Stephen, Moray, and Susan. The get-together was to organised to celebrate Tony's 60th birthday. The lunch was delicious: smoked salmon blinis and mackeral pâté starters, local lobster main course, birthday cake for pudding.

We left late afternoon so that we were home in time to host our third social engagement of the day. Vikki and Cameron came over for Champagne, soup, cheese, biscuits, and chat.

All in all, it has been a very sociable day.

Exercise today: 5k run (16,596 steps including run).
