'Bigger, brighter ....

.... longer lasting flowers', is part of the sales pitch on the label of this Adonicus Double Yellow Hibiscus which we bought a few days ago. We have now planted it in a pot in our courtyard. It had 3 flower buds when we chose it, and one has now opened nicely. "Longer lasting flowers' seems to mean 3 days, rather than just a single day which is not uncommon in hibiscus plants. I read that Adonicus is a reference to Adonis from Greek mythology.
