Germany
Inevitably Lorna Lloyd refers to Germany frequently in her Diary of the war (previously blipped in full in the LornaL journal, and now available as a podcast series with Lorna's great-great niece playing her great-great aunt).
Blipper Joyful has kindly sent us this shot to h.hall@napier.ac.uk to represent the country, explaining that 'this is the castle at Walberg in Germany where Martin Luther went to hide from the Catholic church after his thesis had been published.' Thank you Joyful!
We would also like to include some photographs of specific places in Germany in our blipper/crowd-sourced online photo album of places that feature in the Diary of the war. So, as well as our general call for pictures of places listed below, today we make a special plea for pictures of Heligoland, Munich, and a place along the route of the Siegfried Line.
Below is the full list of the places that we still need to 'collect'. If you have a suitable photograph(s) (that you have not blipped already), please do send it(them) to h.hall@napier.ac.uk and we will feature it(them) alongside the others that we have been blipping here since 13th July 2022. Thank you blipland!
