Flower Friday . . . Peony

Another delight of spring  is when the peonies are for sale.  I have two plants in my garden but they flower in November.  I don't know where these are grown but they appear in a bucket on the side of Queen St and there is an honesty box for the money.  The forester bought these at the start of the week when he was walking back from the town.  At first they are tightly closed and it is with anticipation I watch them open a little more each day.  Curiously I am sure they were all a coral colour but this one has become very pale.
