Dare devil on holiday
I can remember going to the Grey Mares Tail waterfall in Kinlochleven with mum when we visited my great aunt in the village.
It was so good to now show it to Mr A. The approach to the base of the waterfall involved scrambling along slippery planks and holding on to wire ropes pegged to the ravine wall. It felt like a low ropes course.
There was a sign, just beyond thus photo warning that it was a bit dangerous. Really? Why wait so long to share that info?!
But in truth, we stopped because the spray from the impressive waterfall was getting us soaked.
What fun!
Mind you, by the time we walked half way up a mountain in pouring rain and visited some of the Glencoe sites, we had been soaked a few times!
Thank goodness for the Glencoe youth hostel drying room- apparently (and possibly) the best one in Scotland!
