Auto dog walking
The dogs love going doing the river Barwon for a walk, or rather a hurtle through the undergrowth.
Typically, black Miss leads the way and white Mr follows. They can be 20 seconds apart, but he will exactly follow her route, with no short cuts considered. They know the route that we take and I suspect that they even know when to stop chasing those elusive rabbits and come to join us on the last little bit of the walk. Wherever black Poppy fits, we are confident that Cooper will be close behind.
But something different happened on the second half of the walk. Cooper must had had a grass seed up his nose and was explosively sneezing. It was funny to see, but he must have missed a key turn in the scent and got lost. We three humans hung around waiting for him, getting increasingly concerned, as Poppy nonchalantly mooched about. ( maybe this was her master plan??)
Still no Cooper, so we split up and headed to different parts of the park. Had a snake bitten him? Had he fallen and got hurt? I walked along a straight section of the track when in the distance a little white dot appeared. When he recognised me, he almost broke speed records to get back to his human and black dog friend! Aww!
But I didn't have his lead, so I tied the two of them together. Talk about a pushme- pullme! So the nonchalant dog lead an over-wrought dog along the path.
Now they are both sleeping off the adventure, fresh from the compulsory bath after all that mud.
