Jackson headed off early with Carl and my folks for the last game of the season - excellent 3-0 win apparently with a mighty fine opening goal from the boy. Not quite enough to win the league but a respectable second will do nicely.

Me and AR tidied and prepped for an afternoon of BBQ and visitors, with a small reward of a trip to High Road House for coffees and pastries.

The rest of the afternoon / day faded into a lovely blur of drinking, eating and catching up with friends. Until a couple of us "lazy, lazy parents" got persuaded to play some tag games with the kids.

With the addition of this most glorious weather it feels like the start of the holidays.
