Edge

Another warmer day, and a couple more autumn butterflies - this Comma and a Small Copper were out and about at the edge of the woods. 

Elsewhere in the woods, some intriguing slime/mould/fungus was piggybacking on a larger outcrop of fungi (extra). I will see if I can id these curiosities later.

Also about: Grey heron and Common Darter.
