Sunset in Oia, Santorini

Beautiful sunset this evening near the windmills in Oia. We managed to avoid the 100s of people who had come to see it as I wanted a shot of a windmill and the sunset whereas most people wanted themselves in the photo so headed for the castle.

We took the bus from Oia to Fira this morning and walked the 10 km back along the ridge of the caldera. Beautiful walk and a good path all the way, with a detour to Skaros Rock. The first part was through villages then it became a quieter path (see extras). Spent the afternoon resting. It’s really warm here at the moment. I can’t imagine how hot it must be during the summer months.

Really enjoying the new camera and am very pleased with the results. Still lots to learn about it though.
