Kill B̶i̶l̶l̶ Jasmine

We started today with another flat viewing for our friends. This time in one of the art deco blocks at Learmonth. I was glad to have the chance to see inside the block but sadly it just wasn't right. It had a lot of good things and reasonably sized rooms. The communal benefits included a concierge and centrally provided hot water, a very useful thing in the current climate. Wonderful views too. The corridors were tather institutional though, which was a shame. Back to the drawing board.
Back home I decided to take advantage of the dry weather and do some more destructive preparatory work in the garden. As you can see in my blip, I've cut the two winter jasmine right down and given my climbing rose Peace a really hard trim. Hopefully it will survive, it's a good age. I decided to try to terminate the jasmine's lease and treated it with stump killer. Hopefully it will work and the jasmine will not exert squatters rights! It too has been there for 30 years.
Lots of colour in the pots though, so I've included one to cheer things up a bit.
Looks like we have a new PM. Shame he wasn't appointed last time and we might have avoided 6 weeks of angst. Let's see what happens now. I'm so relieved that the buffoon wasn't reappointed, if that had been the case perhaps Larry would have been next. I've put an extra from my trip to London last month.
Don't travel out by the Queensferry Road if you can avoid it, apparently the queues are over 2 miles long. I hear Queensferry Street at the west end has new diversions and closures too. At the other en of Princes Street, the Leith Walk tram chaos continues with London Road completely closed at Elm Row from tomorrow as well - so that's two major routes into the centre of Edinburgh affected. Joy.
