Up Where the Eagles Fly

It was a long trip up the Numinbah Valley today to the top of the world...Lamington Plateau Beechmont.

We had a birdseye view of the Eagles in flight. The path that took us to the most beautiful cave had such a sheer drop that at one time I got a bit of vertigo and felt dizzy and rather awestruck.

The forest on top of the world is Old....very Old.......some Grandmothers and Grandfathers were there... but what felt ancient to me were the rocks and the caves......... going through a small tunnel carved through the rock was like entering into another world and I felt as if I could of been anywhere in the world...there was such a timeless feel to this place.

There so so many images I could of chosen today......I had also played around with a couple of panos.
I chose this one.....I loved the little pinnacle mountain just sitting there on its own with the landscape folding in leading ones eye to the Hinze Dam (water source for the Gold Coast)....and then there in the far far distance you can see the tall buildings of the big smoke (Gold Coast) melting into the ocean.

So much more to explore.
