Son Real

Our last day was spent at the amazing Son Real Natural Area. This is a large area of garrigue vegetation, and a recently excavated Stone Age necropolis on the shore. We had a lovely sit on the rocky coast watching birds and natural sunbathers!
We found carpets of another autumn crocus, Colchicum filifolium, a Mediterranean specialty. And a delightful display of Two-tailed Pasha butterflies.
Then to the airport for rather a long wait, as our flight was delayed.
A superb and memorable holiday.
