Hidden Mountain

We headed to the ranch to see how it has fared following the recent rains, but the sandy road was too wet to drive; we definitely would have gotten stuck. Instead, we climbed Hidden Mountain (which is actually out in plain view) from where we had a grand view of the ranch and so much more.

*  Observing the ranch from Hidden Mt.  Toward the right one can see a lower notch on the far mountains...our property.  From the notch we have hiked as high/far as the distant black mesa (the top of the high V). But that was when we camped at the ranch and could set out early in the morning. Not today.
