lazing on a sunny afternoon....by the Seine

I love Paris in the spring time, I love Paris in the fall, I love Paris in the winter when it drizzles, I love Paris in the summer when it sizzles

up at 5.15am and looking out onto a silent, but stunning St Pancras station. ready and we check in at the Eurostar. A lovely ride on there, very fast, so fast in fact that i started queuing for a coffee in England, and got served in France!

a glorious morning, blue skies and sunshine, lovely to be in Paris on a beautiful day like this. The Eurostar takes us straight into the centre at the Gare du Nord station. coach picks us up, and were off straight to the Eiffel Tower for our champagne lunch.

table at the window, overlooking Paris, sipping champagne. off then for a river cruise on the Seine. seats outside, soaking up the sun and sights! the riverbank was scattered with people enjoying the sun, and i love this capture of the guy asleep, not a care in the world, lazing by the Seine.

afterwards we go to the Louvre. not much time to spend there, just a whistle stop and a quick loo stop 1.50eur!! oh and a glass of vino each on a street corner, sancerre and rose.

then back to the station. funny moment as we all cram in the lift as the doors were closing...an american guy says to another american 'watch your fanny'....me and li smirk, and americans wife spots us and laughs. we all burst out laughing! apparently it means watch your rear over there!

good journey back to St Pancras. from there we head back to Derby, in First Class, with a couple of m&s whiskies!

matt picks us up, and by midnight i'm home, in bed straight away, am whacked! perfect day with my wonderful sis!
