Cross

A rare non-work trip into Aberdeen today, to catch the Galloway Hoard exhibition at the Art Gallery before it closes tomorrow.  It was well worth seeing; the study and analysis of the objects found is ongoing and has already turned up fascinating information on the origin and likely history of some of them. This pectoral cross was in the "decoy layer" of the hoard, buried at a shallower level to fool casual looters.
