Here They Come

Thousands and thousands of cranes, flying southwestward over our area. P spotted them first, and I’ve been out in the garden several times, when another big V came flying past.

All photos are straight from the camera. I might add more later, as we will go for a walk soon - and I am already hearing cranes trumpeting again…

Edit: No more crane activity this afternoon, but the morning was spectacular enough. As a German website wrote yesterday, about 75.000 cranes had been counted over the north of our state, heading our way. I suppose we've seen at least 10% (probably more) of that number today.
