Catch up

The best sort of catch ups with friends from Campbeltown. As usual we met at Benmore Gardens just outside Dunoon and spent the day ambling around, drinking coffee and eating cake, chatting all the while. They are both botanists so for once I knew what I was looking at.
By chance I also bumped into 2 former colleagues, I guess it’s a popular place on a dry-ish day. I find these encounters disturbing, in a mild way, the world of work is for me now as distant as my childhood. At least whilst I was in the thick of it I thought I was enjoying it. A lot has happened in the last couple of years, almost all of it very good indeed.
I now need to look for a torch, there are at least two somewhere, for the badger survey training tomorrow. I can’t imagine why I will need one.
