Dino Day

Large beasts watch our game,
licking lips ready to pounce.
Phew, just mini golf.

Inset day for older teen.  Decided on some high brow miniature golf with dinosaurs.  It was actually really fun, a very well designed course and not too busy, so we didn't feel rushed along.  I'm not sure mini golf is really my game though.  I also found that I don't learn from my mistakes very well.  But hey.  Older teen is camera-averse so no snaps allowed but this shot gives a flavour of our day!  Afterwards we picked up Mr KCNQ2Haiku and went for a pizza lunch too. 
On fetching Ben from school I learned he'd had a really bad day, broken his glasses again and hurt a member of staff.  He slept well last night and had been happy to be finishing for the holidays and going away on Sunday, so it felt like quite an unexpected blow.  I was so flustered, I didn't even ask the right questions about what had triggered it or what had preceded, I was too busy asking if the lovely teaching assistant was OK.  He's been antsy at home, a few minor blow ups but overall good enough.  It's more that this is the sort of stuff that knocks our confidence but hopefully it'll settle down for the break.  It's annoying that he won't have glasses all week though.  He has some prescription sunglasses, so let's hope it's sunny!
