The rain, it's plain, falls mainly on the crane(s)
"Mum, Dad, I've 'ad enough - I'm off... bloody weather". And junior stalks off stage right. Not sure where he's going because it's raining pretty much everywhere today.
I thought I'd found a gap in the weather, and took a trip up to Slimbridge in case I could see the collared pratincole that all the local twitchers are on about. I did find the bird, but I didn't find the gap. Both the prat and the pratincole got drenched. It didn't look to me like anything other than a soaked through bird of indeterminate species. The twitchers were still all over it, though.
I rather liked this trio. Just as wet, but probably more used to it than our off-course south Europe cum tropical Africa friend.
