The exciting news is that today 2 of the 4 Sheffield peregrine eggs have hatched. You can see them here. . I went out early this morning and got some glimpses of redstart and whinchat, and heard my first cuckoo, but unfortunately the light was pretty poor so the photos weren't great. This pied wagtail was busy pretending to be a dipper in the brook, and then hopped onto the dewy grass bank to allow me to get this shot.
