Yummy Haws

There was a hawthorn tree in the front garden of the family home and as a child I always felt sad that the beautiful red berries weren't edible. I was therefore very interested to read on here recently that blipper carolbutterfly picked eighteen pounds of haws from which she is going to make wine.

Birds love them of course. This blue tit is getting stuck in and traces can be seen on its beak.
