A Good Ticking Off

A beautiful sunny morning. I could hear a wren's strident alarm call when we got back to the house after our walk. I located it in an elderberry bush. It was ticking/reeling away for ages. It had probably spotted a cat or even an owl. There's a tawny owl that calls from a nearby ash tree. I've never been able to spot it.
